The Arctic - Svalbard 16˚ east
Svalbard sits in the high Arctic , north of the Arctic Circle, From April to August the Sun never drops below the horizon. resulting in soft light and 24 hours a day of photography opportunities. The wildlife, which returns to the Archipelago in summer, is amazing to be amongst, while the sightings of Polar Bear are always a highlight. Travel the islands on a small boat which can get closer to the wildlife than larger ones and if your camera has image stabilisation, then make sure it is switched on. Hand held is the usual way to take photographs on a moving ship.
