Mosques - Istanbul - 28° east

Straddling both Europe and Asia, Istanbul’s rich cultural heritage has had a huge influence on some of its most important architecture. These places of worship are an integral part of the city. Two in particular, Sultanahmet Camii: ‘Blue Mosque’ and the 1480 year old Hagia Sophia mosque are two of the most stunning buildings in the city of 3000 mosques. A wide angle lens and high ISO are needed to isolate the intricate patterns in these often dark interiors.
