Cormorant tree
The Bald Cypress tree swamps of Louisiana and Texas are at their most photogenic during the autumn months of October and November when their foliage turns golden red. These ancient trees draped in Spanish moss, surround the countless bayous, backwaters and channels. Paddling in a Kayak to photograph these beautiful trees with their autumn colours is a wonderful, calming experience, even when sharing the waterways with Aligators! To get the best pictures, image stabilisation in camera is definitely required to counteract the slow lazy currents of the swamps and the movement of the kayak.
