The Namib desert is the oldest desert in the world and is one of the few places where the desert meets the sea. Close to the sea, the sand dunes are golden yellow. Inland, the older dunes have oxidised into a rich, rust and apricot colour. I was fortunate to fly in a microlight above the dunes, the views, shapes and colours were unforgettable. whilst in the late afternoon sun, the shadows cast by the sand ridges cast an extra dimension to the scene
